The Monaciano estate is continuously searching for the right balance necessary between land use and preservation of Chianti’s unique landscape. The presence of a vast variety of animal species (including falcons, hares, squirrels, deer, porcupines, wild boars, owls, pheasants, wild ducks) testify to the existence of an environment full of biodiversity which leads to a respect for the land and a path toward quality.

A fundamental element of the Chianti landscape and of Monaciano are the olive groves, spreading out over the hillsides and lining the white road that crosses through the estate.

Their silvery evergreen leaves decorate the landscape alternating with the intense green of the forests of Bagnolino, Piturnella and Poggino, participating in an orchestra of other colors like shades of yellow, ochre, red, and the lush color of the vines in autumn.
